Removing discolouration

On receiving delivery at its warehouses of a batch of 4,000 children’s’ playsuits, a childrenswear brand found that dye from the suits had bled through to their inner linings during transport. The brand turned to Berry Services.

Berry Services collected the order from the brand’s warehouse and washed all the playsuits, using a washing programme that was specially designed to both remove the traces of dye from the linings and fix the dye used in the playsuits so as to avoid further leakage. Then they were ironed and restored to their original condition.

Berry Services’ intervention rescued this batch of 4,000 playsuits.

This service, in addition to requiring a great deal of manpower (over 700 hours of work were involved in unpacking the items, putting them into the washing machines, putting them into the dryers, ironing, labelling, folding and restoring them to their original condition) also called for a very detailed knowledge of washing processes, and modern and efficient washing equipment.
